The Freedom of Scented, Sparkly Pinecone Accents
"Scented and Sparkly" is that a thing? Isn’t it funny how we sometimes prefer to create something as a craft instead of just buying it? Buying it is just too easy and not as much fun !
I started out this project by picking up some random pine cones from the ground at my son’s baseball game! I thought using authentic, natural ones would make them even better! From there, I went shopping for the two glitters and glue for this project; and there they were... right in front of me. Taunting me and teasing me as I walked right by them—pine cones that were already scented! I didn’t care one bit. I had a project to make and I was making it. So “scented and sparkly” pine cones were destined to join my Fall Tablescape as pretty little accents. Here is a picture of the supplies I used >>>CLICK HERE<<< to "Shop the Project" on my Amazon shop under the 'shop' link on the website.
Ahhhh! There is just something about using Elmer’s glue and lots of glitter that pulls you back to childhood. Freedom to make mistakes, draw outside of the lines, and best of all—make a mess! (I think this is the part that makes me want to create the craft instead, when I know I could just buy it) The video below shows how easy and fun (did I mention messy?) this DIY project was to make.
The final product made the perfect accent to my Navy and Gold Fall Tablescape. What do you think? >>>Leave your thoughts below in the comments please…
BTW— Life is short... Enjoy the mess! I hope you try this project out for yourself, it was super easy! **P.S. Please join us over on our Facebook Page to see more fun projects “Live”!
